Im chinesischen Jahr des Schweins gründeten die beiden erfahrenen, aber gerade arbeitslosen Musikanten Sir Webbster und Tingeltangel-Clerkman nach einer durchzechten Nacht in einem dunklen Zürcher Kellerloch eine neue Band mit dem Ziel, in jeglicher Hinsicht keine Kompromisse einzugehen! Nach diversen Wechseln fand man in Count Rufus schliesslich die optimale Besetzung für den Hocker hinter dem Schlagzeug.
Nach Museums-Weltraum-Indie-Pop-Punk-Rock und Underground Rock’n’Roll bezeichnen thE DorKs ihren aktuellen Sound als Nasty Folk, der von so grossartigen Musikern wie Tom Waits, Primus, Kaizers Orchestra und John Frusciante beeinflusst wird!
Die neusten Songs erzählen die schier unglaubliche Geschichte einer unglücklichen Dreiecks-Liebesbeziehung, welche sich vor etwas über hundert Jahren an Bord der MS LUCY MARIE abspielt und im tragischen Untergang des Schiffes gipfelt! Die einzigartige Stimme von Sänger Sir Webbster und seinem Kontrabass im Zusammenspiel mit den Beats von Count Rufus und den Klängen der Gitarre von Tingeltangel-Clerkman lassen die Tragödie Realität werden und jedes DorKs-Konzert zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis werden!

We are back in Wil… wow. What a joy! We love playing there. The last time it was just a pefect evening.
